This recipe is inspired by a typical Lithuanian dish with my own twist to it. A tender beef meatball stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Served with mashed potatoes, mushroom sauce, fresh dill and sour cream. A very hearty dish - rich in flavours and hugely satisfying.

Heating Instructions

As our food is hand-made by our chefs, these reheating instructions are a guide. Check your food is piping hot throughout before serving.

❄️ FROM CHILLED

MICROWAVE: Heat on full power(950W) for 4-6 minutes. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Place on a baking tray in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes or until piping hot.

❄️ ❄️ FROM FROZEN

MICROWAVE: Heat on full power(950W) for 8-10 minutes. Leave to stand for 1 minute before serving.

OVEN: Preheat oven to 180°C (Gas Mark 5). Place on a baking tray in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes or until piping hot.

Lithuanian Kitchen

I've loved cooking since I was young and it has been a source of confidence for me as well as a creative outlook. Since being in the UK, I've adapted my recipes to cater to the local taste buds, fusing Lithuanian food culture with the British palate. This makes me happy as it allows me to share my country's cuisine with the country I have grown to love.

Served to a rather picky over 80, she actually really enjoyed it, plus it was easy for her to chew and swallow

I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The meal was pretty salty (something I barely ever say in the UK) and there was barely any cheese in the meatball. I would also request that all ingredients are added under that section as mushroom sauce didn’t seem to be listed Have liked other dishes from this chef, so sad this wasn’t one of them.

Found this meal was very hard to heat to temperature. It was heated from frozen as the meal I planned to have hadn’t defrosted today so changed to this last minute. It took a good 12-14 minutes to heat through from frozen in the microwave. That could have been frustrating as my meals are prepared by carers- I realised it wasn’t cooked through after my carer left but had another visitor who could continue heating it for me thankfully!

Beautiful mashed potato again . There wasn’t much cheese in my meatball at all- barely one mouthful and it was gone. The meatball was so tasty and flavourful. I’m quite likely to order this one again sometime.

Definitely ordering this dish again. The mash was nice and creamy (reheated from frozen in the oven) and meatballs had lots of flavour. Served it with a spoonful of sour cream.

This was filling and unique. Cooked in microwave and was fine
